Riyadh, March 2019: The National Company for the Unified Purchase of Medicines, Devices and Medical Supplies “NUPCO” held, on Tuesday, 5 March 2019, in Al-Khuzami Hall in Riyadh, its annual party, as part of its efforts to achieve communication with partners and relevant parties and publicize the company’s strategy to regulate the unified purchase in a way that contributes to By developing health care and improving the efficiency of government spending.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Nubco’s strategic partners in a number of Saudi government agencies and universities, and a representative of the Ministry of Health also participated, and a number of representatives of relevant government agencies. During the ceremony, Mr. Fahad Al-Shibl, CEO of NUPCO, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the guests of the ceremony, representatives of the participating entities, media and employees of the company, and expressed his happiness by signing agreements with the ministries of health, defense and interior, which confirms the state’s efforts to develop the health sector and enable government purchases to support the goals of Vision 2030. During the speech, Al-Shibl reviewed NUPCO’s strategy to develop a unified purchasing system for medicines, devices and medical supplies, to meet the need of health facilities with the latest medical products at competitive prices and to provide high-quality logistical services. Al Shibl pointed out to Nubco’s role as a valuable supply chain that provides the highest levels of quality and transparency in the management and supply of medical supplies for health facilities, and works with its partners to provide exceptional care for all according to a new approach based on the power of integrated technology and communication.

Al-Shibl affirmed that NUPCO works within a health system to improve the health care sector and enable local content and raise the efficiency of government spending in the health sector and its organization by establishing an advanced system of unified procurement management that helped health agencies provide their need for medicines, devices and medical supplies. Where NUPCO contributed during the past year only to providing 7,919 medical items with the participation of 47 government health agencies in which the share of national factories was 17.6%. He pointed out that NUPCO is based on an infrastructure with modern technologies that enhance digital transformation, automation and systems development to achieve business efficiency and meet current and future needs.
