nupco at the Public Investment Fund and the Private Sector Forum

nupco participated in the Public Investment Fund Private Sector Forum, which was held under the auspices of His Excellency Governor Yasser Al-Rumayyan in the Four Seasons, on March 14-15, 2023. The exhibition aims to support national development and achieve the goals of Vision 2030, for the private sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product and building long-term partnerships with The private sector and unleashing opportunities in the Kingdom, where the exhibition witnessed a number of visits by private sector suppliers and those interested in the health sector, and introduced them to the most important nupco offers towards raising the level of health care in the Kingdom

nupco also signed a number of agreements during the forum with several companies serving the health sector (Johnson & Johnson, Damad, MediServ) as suppliers through nupco’s Marketplace, to participate in Marketplace service provided by NUPCO for private sector health entities. with the aim of raising the efficiency of the health sector and covering the needs of health authorities in the Kingdom. An agreement was also signed with Air Conditioners Company. Al-Zamil as a supplier to equip warehouses and trucks for transporting medicines with integrated air conditioning and refrigeration systems according to the highest approved quality standards.

With the aim of establishing new partnerships and strengthening relationships with global suppliers; nupco participated in the MEDLAB Middle East 2023 exhibition, which was hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center from 6-9 February. More than 500 exhibitors from more than 40 participating countries, with the aim of showcasing the latest medical products and solutions in the world.

nupco participated in the Arab Health Exhibition, which was located in the Dubai World Trade Center from January 30 to February 2, 2023, as the exhibition is one of the largest exhibitions in the field of health care in the Middle East and North Africa. Dammam, August 2021: NUPCO, the leading provider of healthcare products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University. According to the agreement, the company will provide healthcare products and logistics support services, including medicines and medical needs, to the patients of the King Fahd University Hospital affiliated with the university.
NUPCO said that the agreement comes within its partnerships with the government health sector in line with the efforts of the Kingdom’s healthcare system to provide the best products and services to patients, citizens, and residents.

Under the agreement, NUPCO will provide King Fahd University Hospital in Dammam with pickup services from suppliers, storage in the company’s warehouses, transportation and distribution of medicines, devices, and medical supplies, medical inventory management, medical warehouse management, electronic logistics support systems, and connectivity systems. The company will employ state-of-the-art technologies and follow the highest approved quality specifications in providing these services, ensuring speedy and safe supply in addition to delivering advanced healthcare services that keep pace with the Kingdome’s aspirations to achieve community safety and improve the quality of life.

Welcoming the partnership, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rubaish, President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, said that the agreement serves a wide spectrum of the society, adding that it is consistent with the Kingdome’s efforts, may Allah protect it, to enhance the health security and the safety of the citizens and residents. “King Fahd University Hospital looks forward to making full use of the distinguished services provided by NUPCO as a national company that provides healthcare products conforming with the latest technologies and international standards,” he said.

NUPCO signs 12 framework agreements with suppliers in cooperation with EXPRO and LCGPA

NUPCO, the leading provider of healthcare products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed cooperation framework agreements with 12 supplier partners to provide diagnostic imaging devices to hospitals and government health centers. The agreements are part of the company’s efforts to provide the government health sectors with drugs, devices, medical supplies, and high-quality medical services according to the highest global standards.
The suppliers who signed the framework agreement include Ascend Advanced Healthcare Solutions, Siemens Healthcare, Philips Saudi Arabia Healthcare, Farouk, Maamoun Tamer & Company, Medical Supplies & Services Company, Attia Medical Equipment Company, Samir Trading & Marketing, Al-Khaleej Medical Company, Ebrahim Mohammed Al-Mana & Brothers Company, National Equipment & Services Company, Saudi Health Services Company, and Madarat Technology Company.

These contracts are part of the joint efforts of NUPCO, the Expenditure Efficiency and Projects Authority (EXPRO), and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), aimed at developing framework agreements for unified government procurement and applying global best practices in terms of facilitating and accelerating procurement procedures, standardizing specifications, and mitigating risks through forward planning and standardization of demand mechanisms. Through these, they aim to ensure price protection for similar items, thereby maximizing the benefits in terms of price competitiveness, quality assurance, speed of supply, and covering the needs of the Kingdom’s government health sector during normal times and times of crisis. The agreements significantly enhance NUPCO’s role in facilitating the efficiency of government expenditure through unified procurement and is in line with the company’s efforts to support the Kingdome’s endeavors to provide the best healthcare services for citizens and residents.

NUPCO’s strategic partnerships with EXPRO, LCGPA, and the public and private sectors are expected to enhance medical services in the government health sector by providing state-of-the-art medical products, thereby achieving sustainable health for the community.
