The National Company for Unified Procurement of Medicines, Devices and Medical Supplies (Nupco) has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the Organization’s Procurement Ethics Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). This certification serves as a testament to Nupco’s commitment to the highest standards of integrity and transparency in managing its procurement operations and enhancing trust with its partners across various sectors.

Nupco was awarded the Procurement Ethics Certificate after its team completed training and passed the exam in various areas of ethical procurement and supply management, in line with modern global standards. These standards include Integrity and Transparency: Ensuring fair and transparent procurement decisions without conflicts of interest. Social Responsibility: Ensuring that all suppliers adhere to ethical and environmental labor standards. Sustainability: Purchasing products and services in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Good Governance: Implementing best governance practices across all procurement processes.

Nupco expressed its pride in obtaining this certification, which represents the culmination of its efforts to develop the skills of its employees and modernize its procurement methodologies. Nupco Signs MoU with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health to Enhance Cooperation in Unified Procurement and Health Supply Chains

Tashkent – The National Unified Procurement Company (nupco) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in unified procurement, health supply chain management, digital transformation, and capacity building, contributing to healthcare systems development, exchange of expertise, and healthcare services improvement in both countries.

 

The signing of the MoU took place during the official visit of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, to the Republic of Uzbekistan. This visit also saw the signing of several agreements and MoUs aimed at expanding health and investment cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, reflecting the strength of bilateral relations and the two countries’ commitment to developing a strategic partnership in the health sector.

The memorandum aims to leverage nupco’s expertise in developing unified procurement systems and healthcare supply chains, and to enhance cooperation in inventory management, digital transformation, data exchange, capacity building, localization, and investment. This includes conducting joint workshops, preparing technical studies, and developing a roadmap for priority initiatives, all contributing to sustainable outcomes that support the development of the healthcare sector in both countries.

 

As the national arm for unified procurement and healthcare supply in the Kingdom, nupco continues developing the healthcare supply system through an integrated operational model that has contributed to increasing the efficiency of supply chains, enhancing the sustainability of medical product availability, and improving spending efficiency. This supports the objectives of Health Sector Transformation Program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

This memorandum reflects nupco’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships, transferring Saudi expertise in healthcare procurement and supply, developing innovative solutions that contribute to building more efficient and sustainable healthcare systems, and strengthening cooperation with international partners to serve mutual interests and solidify the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional hub for logistics and healthcare services.
